Young stars shine brightly at Midsummer Place’s Make-Believe talent search

Over 150 children gathered at Midsummer Place to showcase their talents in the hopes of winning a part of the £1,000 cash prize and the opportunity to join the MB Talent platform.

In an event held on Saturday June 18th, a litany of singing and dancing auditions were judged by managing director Joel Kern and industry experts.

The auditions were judged across junior (6-9 years old) and senior categories (10+) and were ultimately reduced to 40 finalists, who will now compete in a grand final later this year. The finalists will compete for the crown and £500 each at Stantonbury Theatre in October.

Previous winners have gone on to become stars, with 2018 finalist Klaudia Gjergji starring in West End production ‘On Your Feet’ this year, and 2017 winner Charis Tetteh taking a role in ‘School of Rock’ since last year.

Marketing Manager at Midsummer Place,  Kirsty McGiff has said “The event was a huge success, and it is incredible to see the huge array of talent we have in Milton Keynes. Well done to everyone that took part whether you were a finalist or not.”
