On Saturday 24th July poet Sarah Hobbs will be bringing their fifth full collection of poetry, Lockdown, to life at Bogota Coffee Co., at The Hub in Central Milton Keynes.

The evening will consist of poetry being read from the collection and opportunities to purchase a collection and have it signed by the poet as well as asking any questions you may have.
Poems included within this collection are all focussed around the last couple of years and experiences of managing and coping with the pandemic.
This collection has been inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore and will be part of the #CaptainTom100 initiative; with all proceeds from the sale of this book going to the Captain Tom Foundation to continue his legacy.
Sarah Hobbs says, “I’m really excited and proud of this collection. Poets have been the recorders of events throughout history – and that’s what this collection aims to be.
“This collection is my tribute to this inspirational and courageous man. Each poem looks to encapsulate a moment, a theme or a feeling of what has been one of the hardest couple of years many of us have experienced.”
Milton Keynes Poet Laureate, Mark Neil commented on the collection, “Sarah Hobbs obviously put her down time to good use.
“’Lockdown’ is a lovely poetic time capsule of the last two years, capturing in verse the sentiments a lot of us were thinking.”
‘Lockdown’ will be available to purchase through Amazon from the 17th July.
