Midsummer Place in MK to welcome branch of healthy fast food restaurant LEON

Midsummer Place, Milton Keynes’ premier shopping destination, is delighted to announce that ‘naturally fast food’ restaurant LEON is opening in the centre this month.

Located in the former Pret a Manger unit, LEON will bring a fantastic new food offering to the city centre shopper. With 66 internal seats & 96 external covers, the restaurant will be opening with the full LEON menu, including Karma Drinks sodas which will be available as part of all meal deals. The restaurant has generated 20 new jobs.

Among the offerings will be Better Burgers, Grilled Wraps and Salads. LEON’s menu changes five times a year to focus on seasonal ingredients and so the restaurant will constantly offer guests new menu items to try. LEON Milton Keynes will also be a digital restaurant with kiosks for ordering and payment, plus guests will be able to use the LEON Club app which allows them to claim and earn points and rewards while ordering.

LEON has a mission to make food that tastes good, does you good and is kind to the planet. The menu is inspired by the flavours and variety of the Mediterranean diet and prioritises gut health. The menu also features an expansive range of plant-powered options. LEON Milton Keynes will also offer a breakfast menu with dishes including Poached Egg Pots, Organic Porridge Pots and Sourdough Muffins.

LEON was first established  in London in 2004 and now has over 70 restaurants across the UK as well as Ireland and the Netherlands.

“We are excited to announce our latest retailer to join Midsummer Place. LEON is a fantastic nationally recognised brand that has transformed the meaning of fast food, and we know they will be a huge success with our customers,” said Shelley Peppard, General Manager at Midsummer Place.

Commenting on the new opening at Midsummer Place, Glenn Edwards, Managing Director of LEON Restaurants, said: “We are so excited to be opening a new LEON in Milton Keynes and even more delighted that this restaurant will be situated within the Midsummer Place shopping centre – feeding hungry shoppers has been a key part of the LEON mission since our inception.”
