Cara Lee previews the top theatre shows in MK in February and March.
It’s shaping up to be a great two months for music, theatre and comedy in Milton Keynes.
Reginald D Hunter will be one of the biggest comedians to take to The Stables’ stage in February, performing on Saturday 26th.
You might know the Writer’s Guild Award Winner and two time Perrier Award nominee from TV shows such as Have I Got News For You, Live at the Apollo and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
Rescheduled from last year, acapella group Naturally 7 will also be performing. Across a 20 year career they’ve opened for Michael Bublé, shared a billing with Coldplay and have performed with Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder – and now they’ll be at The Stables on the 1st of March. Visit stables.org for tickets.
Stantonbury Theatre is also back in action, with a particular highlight on the 19th of March being I Spy With My Little Eye.
Featuring a treasure hunt, games and a sing along song, this will be a fun-filled show for the whole family.
Auditions will open in March for their July 2022 production of Aladdin, on the 5th and 9th of March. Visit stantonburytheatre.co.uk for more information and tickets.
Over at MK Theatre, School of Rock will be playing from the 8th to the 12th of February. Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker will also be on from the 15th to the 19th of February and, for comedy fans, there’s Katherine Ryan on the 17th of March and Rob Beckett on the 19th.
