Our resident lifestyle blogger Amanda, aka Ginger Mum, talks about the run-in to Christmas and looking forward to hopefully spending time with our families.
Tis the season to be jolly….
Last minute prep incoming as we hopefully get to spend this Christmas with our loved ones, who we have missed out on so much of late.
Lots of us have had more time at home to be organised this year so for me, it’s just the finishing touches still to be bought.
These Xmas biscuits are a great little treat as the nights draw in and also make great gifts.
A brand new independent MK business – Baby Granny Bakes – from a savvy 17-year old who started the biz during lockdown one to finance her dreams of becoming a singer/songwriter as she studies for it.
Find her on Facebook. An ideal way to support a new local independent business and a flourishing star in the making.
Another little treat, one for myself this time, will be one of http://www.neonmarl.co.uk new candles which I can burn as I indulge in my Christmas wrapping sessions.
Freshly launched, we are already huge fans of Amber, the founder and her now famous rainbow hoodies which have been the snuggly symbol of hope for 2020.
I struggle to come up with good, affordable personalised ideas for grandparent gifts and I’m so over the obvious options from the big-name retailers.
This week, I discovered Olive & Pip, a Newport Pagnell based business who make really cool items from our
children’s drawings etc, so that’s exactly what my parents will be getting from the boys this year.
Find them on Instagram @oliveandpip to see their full range of options.
Final touches for my Christmas tree have arrived from Tony Almond Ltd – the Insta famous Christmas tree specialists, and another booming independent business.
I love this pre-Christmas flurry of excitement but once the tinsel fizzles out and the last bit of turkey has been consumed, I like to prepare for the coming year and I think that more than ever it will be a very heartfelt goodbye to the year.
I hope 2021 brings all of you good health, a renewed zest for life and a continuing appreciation of the things we discovered recently that truly matter.
Merry Christmas to you all and happy new year x
