Food Events Column: Street Food Heaven at MK11

Hazel Roberts picks out Eat Street MK and a Friday Night Takeaway from Cindy’s Kitchen as two of her top local food events to attend this month…

As we celebrate the arrival of spring, we can also rejoice in the return of the monthly markets and the street food events.

This month is full-on with street food events, so make sure you are hungry and get out to enjoy the taste of Milton Keynes.

The 6th March sees the return of Eat Street MK to York House in Stony Stratford. This popular event is back from its winter break and will offer all the usual delights from the local food and drink scene.

With indoor seating, it is an ideal place for a monthly meet-up with friends.

Great Brickhill Cricket Club will be offering a Friday Night Takeaway on 6th March. This month food will be provided by Cindy’s Kitchen, specialising in Asian and Indonesian cuisine.

On 15th March Street Food Heaven at MK11 starts up again with their usual mix of live music, craft beer and street food.

Having returned in February, Newport Pagnell Street Truck Friday is back on 20th March, promising tasty food from their regular traders.

Don’t forget that Mothers’ Day is on 22nd March so look out for special events locally. There are afternoon tea events at Bletchley Park, Frost’s Garden Centre and at the Pavilion in Middleton to name just a few.

After the success of their event last year, Nonna’s will be once again hosting a weekend of street food on 28th and 29th March.
