As the days begin to get longer and the very first signs of spring emerge, February brings us the romance of Valentine’s Day and the food hug that is Pancake Day, and we even have the first food fair of the season.
Keep an eye out for local restaurants and pubs offering special menus for a romantic evening out this Valentine’s Day, especially as it falls on a Friday.

Saturday 15th February sees a collaboration between the MK Community Fridge in Wolverton and Taco Shack to bring you Arabian Nights – a taste of the Middle East.
Robin from Taco Shack will use surplus food from the community fridge to cook up a feast and to help raise money for the fight against food waste.
If you fancy growing your own fruit and vegetables this year then the Bletchley Gardening Club Seed Swap on 15th February is a great place to get started.
Find lots of interesting and unusual seeds and enjoy their homemade refreshments including soup, bread and cakes.
Pancake Day this year falls on 25th February and once again the world-famous Olney Pancake Day Race returns.
Head to Olney to tuck into pancakes whilst you watch the race and be home again in plenty of time to cook up some more!

This year is a leap year and finishing off the month is the Buckingham Food Fair on 29th February. Taking place at The Buckingham Centre in Buckingham, it runs between 10am and 3pm and will have locally produced food and drink on sale.
