Singing duo Fran & Flora are to play live at Milton Keynes Gallery on Saturday 9 November.
The duo, who have previously been described by one critic as ‘a string duo bound for glory’, are quickly becoming one of London’s most sought-after bands.
A duo with a distinctive improvisatory style and ethereal aesthetic, they draw inspiration for their material from their travels and mentors in eastern Europe and beyond.
They released their debut album Unfurl in February this year, the culmination of three years creative studio work.
They have appeared live in session on BBC 4’s Woman’s Hour, Radio 3’s In Tune, Cerys Matthews’ 6 Music show, Soho Radio and Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM.
Now Fran & Flora promise to mesmerise their Milton Keynes audience, with ‘the kind of quality that you couldn’t fake or acquire in a hurry,’ says BBC Radio 6 music’s Tom Robinson.
Doors for the show open at 8pm and tickets are £8 in advance for the seated show.
