Show Stoppers Column: Murder mystery Mousetrap

Nancy Stevens previews the Hairspray workshop which provides people with a taste of musical theatre, and the longest running show in the world

The nicest musical theatre man in town, Michael Quinn, is set to be hosting another amazing musical theatre workshop this summer at Milton Keynes Theatre from August 12th to 16th.

The five day Hairspray Workshop will be an experience not to be missed! With only a few places left, book quickly for the Hairspray workshop with Milton Keynes Theatre Creative Learning Company for ages 10 to 14 years.

Michael is no stranger to Milton Keynes Theatre as he has appeared in many number one touring shows such as Beauty and the Beast, Joseph and most recently starred alongside Shane Ritchie in last years’ Panto, Robin Hood.

You may also recognise Michael from ITV’s Grease is the Word. Michael will be appearing as a guest on my awardwinning radio show, Stevens on Sunday, very soon.

The Mousetrap is the Queen of Crime fiction, Agatha Christie’s most famous book and the show of the same name opened in the West End in 1952 – it has been running continuously ever since.

The Mousetrap is the longest running show in the world and arrives at Milton Keynes Theatre 19th-24th August. The play has a twist at the end (which despite me seeing it twice, I still can’t remember, which is just as well as the audience are traditionally asked not to reveal, after leaving the theatre).

The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. Who can it be?
