Milton Keynes-based corporate news, PR, training and events video company Video News Factory is currently working with finalists of the Miss England contest.
The agency is working to find the Best TV Presenter, which is the award ceremony’s latest addition.
This further part of the competition gives contestants the opportunity to professionally showcase the work they are doing for their community and the difference they are making to society with their motto being ‘beauty with a purpose’.
John Allard, Managing Director of The Video News Factory explains: “We are breaking new ground by hosting this new round for the finalists of the Miss England contest, making full use of our state-of-the-art video production studio.
“In just 2 weeks we will produce over 20 videos with incredibly talented contestants. Many of the girls have degrees and several are taking MBAs and with prospective careers in medicine, law and journalism and from all ethnic backgrounds.
“The aim is for them to design, script, manage and host short TV programmes. This will challenge outdated stereo typed perceptions of the Miss England contest, which is a fabulous competition and the only one that is officially linked to Miss World. A great example was seeing Miss England 2019 finalists Jodie Foster and Isobel Mae-Lines support two major Midlands based charities, run by the admirable Professor Abdul Rashid Gatrad OBE and Mohammed Aslam MBE (pictured).”
Angie Beasley, Director of Miss England, says: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be working with The Video News Factory after seeing the work they produced for us at the Leicester Tigers Semi-Finals and look forward to seeing the TV Presenter entries.
“Miss England is held every year to find the nation’s only entry to Miss World. The reigning Miss England is Alisha Cowie who represented Newcastle.”
As well as the TV presenter round, The Video News Factory recently live-streamed the Miss England semi-finals at Leicester Tigers rugby ground, reaching more than 2,400 views in the first 10 hours and we will be live-streaming the National Finals in association with the Gainford Group and Mauritius Tourism on 31 July and 1 of August 2019 from Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
See all the videos and the Livestream as they appear on the official Miss England YouTube Channel and Facebook.
