Former BBC entertainment writer Sarah Bygrave has named her top local events for July, which include a comedy magician, a summer party and a carnival weekend…
People often say to me, ‘July about how good the events are in MK?’
I say, of course I don’t! Apologies for the terrible gag, I couldn’t resist.
Let’s get back to business. Here are my top picks for awesome events this month!
On the 6th the UK’s top comedy magician Pete Firman is heading to The Stables to perform his unique blend of ‘crowd pleasing comedy and jaw dropping magic’.
You may have seen Pete on Tonight at the London Palladium and The John Bishop Show and from what I’ve seen of him, this looks set to be a very entertaining night.
Head over to stables.org for tickets and more information.
Unit Nine are hosting their Lock Down Summer Party on the 13th with the freshest R&B, Grime and House music on offer for all you ravers.
The vibe will be warehouse rave, so get your sunglasses and glow sticks out and get ready to rave the night away!
Tickets are on sale at skiddle.com.
The Newport Pagnell Carnival Weekend is back across the weekend of the 6th and 7th for everyone to enjoy.
There isn’t much that isn’t on offer at this event with a funfair, food stalls, live music, archery, a dog show, and a classic car rally. For more information, find the event on Facebook and I’ll see you there!
Are you a lover of Motown? Love a bit of James Brown and Earth, Wind and Fire?
Then this is the event for you. DJ Funk Soul Brother is hosting a very special event at MK11 on the 20th with all the best in Disco, Funk and Motown songs on offer for your enjoyment.
Plus, there will be a live performance from The Motown Experience. What’s not to love?
