MK Dons will start the 2019-20 season away at Bury on August 3rd, with the EFL confirming the season’s new fixtures.
The first game of the new season for Paul Tisdale’s side sees them face familiar opposition, with the side from Lancashire earning promotion alongside MK Dons from League Two last season.
The game will take place on August 3rd, with the return fixture in Milton Keynes on February 15th.
Of late, the Dons have had a good opening day record, winning 4 of their last 5 opening day matches.
In the opening month, the Dons will follow up their opener by facing Shrewsbury Town in their first home game of the new season on August 10th.
The opening month will then feature a Buckinghamshire Derby match away at Wycombe Wanderers, back-to-back home games against Lincoln City and Peterborough United, and a trip to Accrington Stanley.
There will also be a Carabao Cup First Round tie between the clashes with Shrewsbury and Wycombe, which is yet to be drawn.
Big attention will likely focus on the Dons’ two clashes with AFC Wimbledon. The first game will take place on September 7th in Milton Keynes, with the return fixture taking place on April 18th.
On Boxing Day, MK Dons face a match against Southend in Essex, with the last game before Christmas being at Gillingham on December 21st, and the last home game before Christmas being against Oxford United on December 14th.
The Dons wrap up 2019 by hosting Portsmouth on December 29th. This is then followed up by a New Year’s Day match against Bristol Rovers, also at stadium mk.
The final game of the season will see the team from Milton Keynes take on Ipswich at Portman Road on May 3rd, with the last home match being against Blackpool the week before.
For the Easter weekend, the Dons travel to Peterborough on Good Friday, which is April 10th in 2020, while Easter Monday sees the Dons host Accrington Stanley.
