Burretti: The Man Who Sewed The World runs from May 16-18 at the Chrysalis Theatre in MK at 7.30pm.
With a cast of over 30 local actors, dancers and musicians, this musical from Lee Scriven tells the fascinating story of Bletchley boy Freddie Burretti, who was David Bowie’s close friend and early 70s costume collaborator and stylist.
Armed with a befitting musical score, the play unfolds events leading up to the legendary 1972 BBC Top of the Pops, Starman broadcast.
Lee Scriven said: “I grew up in Bletchley, the same town as Freddie Burretti did, and it saddens me that Freddie’s impact and incredible talent has never been truly recognised.”
