Fans of street food are in for a treat during April with several of the regular monthly events starting up again for a new season and some new ones making their debut appearances.
On 5th April, Eat Street MK will be back at York House from 5 until 10pm. Then on 6th April, The King’s Arms in Newport Pagnell host the first of a new monthly event, The King’s Feast.
Taking place between 12 and 5pm, it promises street food, live entertainment and good company.
The all vegan street food event, Ramming It Down Your Throat, returns to the Craufurd Arms in Wolverton between 12 and 5pm on 7th April.
The Streetfood Sessions return to Middleton Pavilion on 14th April for their first event of the year. There will be street food with themes from all over the world and local acts to keep you entertained.
The last street food event of the month will be the Newport Pagnell Food Truck Friday on 19th April on Market Hill.
On another note, The Drinks Shed at Cherry Lane Nursery, Potterspury, will be holding their monthly tasting weekend on 6th and 7th April. This is an ideal opportunity to pop along to try before you buy, to taste new products and to enjoy special offers.
Lovers of food fairs will have to venture outside of Milton Keynes this month. There is the Spring Food Fair at Abington Park Museum, Northampton to enjoy on 13th April.
And the Bedfordshire Food & Garden Festival will be held at the School of Falconry in Wilstead, Bedford on 27th and 28th April, offering food and drink, garden inspiration and birds of prey.
Kids can be entertained during the Easter holidays with a Bake and Decorate Cupcakes workshop by Chin’s Kitchen on 10th April. There will be two courses, one in the morning and one running in the afternoon.
Adults looking to learn new foodie skills can choose from a variety of courses at the Coldsmoking Cookery School this month. Sausage Making is available on 5th, 11th, 18th, or 26th; Food Smoking on 6th; Charcuterie on 12th; Cheese making on 14th; and Chocolate Making on 27th April.
