A huge showroom refit has enabled MK’s largest independent sliding wardrobe specialists Furniche to manufacture all of their own furniture in-house, cutting out the middleman and saving customers up to 60% on quotes from UK retailers. Celebrate:MK’s Jon Boyle went to take a look.
Milton Keynes’ largest independent outlet for manufacturing fitted furniture, Furniche, has just got even better thanks to a new £250k refit of its production and HQ building.
Furniche, based at Bilton Road in Bletchley, has undergone a huge renovation to increase its production space and improve manufacturing facilities, enabling the business to make all of its high-quality bespoke fitted furniture inhouse.
And with no middleman, the great news for customers is that you now save up to 60% against quotes from the leading UK retailers and enjoy shorter lead times too.
After taking a look at Furniche’s fitted furniture in the showroom, it’s quite incredible that they are able to undercut the big boys by such a large margin as the quality of the products is outstanding.
The bases of drawers are made of thick wood, so they don’t sag, and they are all ‘soft-close’ so they don’t slam. And the fittings are far superior to anything I have ever encountered.
Indeed, the attention to detail is so impressive that I couldn’t even see the fittings on the wardrobe shelves.
The thing I like best about the bespoke sliding wardrobes is that the doors are perfectly made to fill the exact height and width of your space, unlike many UK retailers who still use infills above and below the doors to basically ‘board up’ the remaining space.
There are hundreds of colour configurations available too on all made to measure furniture. When you take all of this into account, it is hardly surprising that Furniche has been chosen by a number of prestigious developers to furnish dozens of new luxury homes in the local area.
The company’s recent investment in a CNC Nesting Machine, which is basically a huge state-of-the-art printer for wood, has also lifted the business to a completely new level.
This automated process allows Furniche to create its bespoke products even more quickly and accurately, putting the company even further ahead of its competition.
Suddenly my old wardrobe in my bedroom feels wholly inadequate. Time to upgrade.
