Hazel Roberts takes us through this month’s best food events, which includes cookery classes and chocolate making courses
This month kicks off with the return of Saf’Tastic Friday Curry Night on the 1st February.
Make sure you get your order in a few days ahead, then pick up freshly cooked curry from Saf’s Kitchen in Wolverton.
If you fancy learning how to make authentic curry yourself, then she has a couple of beginner’s cookery classes on 23rd and 24th February at Cruck Barn, Bradwell Abbey. Book yourself a place now.
If you have been missing your fix of the local street food during the winter, then you’ll be pleased to hear that, due to popular demand, Newport Pagnell Street Food are returning in February.
Catch them in Newport Pagnell High Street on 15th February then every third Friday of the month after that.
Valentine’s Day is, of course, this month so look out for many local restaurants and pubs offering special menus for a romantic evening out.
If you fancy giving your sweetheart a box of chocolates then The Chocolate Mill MK have a special selection of handmade assorted truffles, especially for the occasion, so visit their website to order.
However, if you would rather go the extra mile and handmake your own box of chocolates, then they are running a chocolate making course at Coldsmoking Cookery School in Great Linford on 3rd February.
Finishing off the month is the first food fair of the year, the Buckingham Food Fair. Taking place at The Buckingham Centre in Buckingham, it runs between 10am and 3pm on 23rd February.
