The all-new Alpine Village at Oak Court in intu Milton Keynes has opened for business, with all the fun of a festive alpine ski retreat in the heart of the city centre.

Entry to Alpine Village is free and visitors can enjoy all manner of festive experiences. A giant, luxury yurt and bar, decorated with vintage ski memorabilia and hundreds of soft, twinkling lights will play host to live music in the evenings and movie magic on select days, plus much more.

A superb range of delicious temptations will leave guests spoilt for choice including the latest street food sensation – Yorkshire pudding wraps – foodies can feast from a range of meats wrapped up in a large Yorkshire pudding crammed with gravy, stuffing, sauces and vegetables.

Other wintery treats include an indoor fire pit for toasting marshmallows and enjoying hot toddies, a large choice of non-alcoholic drinks, a Nutella House selling all manner of Nutella drenched delights, bubble waffle wraps, bratwurst from the swing grill, a range of mulled wine and cider, and prosecco and champagne by the glass

On top of this, friends and families can immerse themselves completely in the festive spirit by booking MK’s smallest restaurant.

Seated inside a beautifully lit snow globe (seats 8) diners can enjoy fondue and raclette served inside the dome, a unique setting for a well-earned treat!

There will also be free screenings of festive family favourites, including Elf, Frozen, Home Alone and The Polar Express, whileguests can cosy up for that apres-ski feeling whatever the weather and put themselves on the slopes in front of an Instagram photo wall.

Commenting on the launch, Nigel Holliday, director of the Alpine Village said: “We wanted to create a destination that’s free to enter and fun and memorable for all ages whatever time of day. The giant yurt will be the hub of the village, showing everyone’s favourite Christmas films free of charge and during the evening the open fire and live music will create a real apres-ski feel.

“With MK’s smallest restaurant and the famous Yorkshire pudding wraps – it’s got to be the perfect stop off during a busy day’s Christmas shopping.”

The Alpine Village will be the perfect destination for all – from friends and families to couples and co-workers, there is something to keep everyone entertained right through the day and into the evening.

The giant yurt is also available for exclusive hire and offers a unique setting for a celebration or office Christmas party.

The Alpine Village will open Monday to Saturday from 10am until late and on Sundays from 12noon until 6pm.
