House to Home Column: Revamp your home office in style

Interiors-obsessed blogger and stationery addict Becky Pink shows off her purchases to kit out her home office, whilst being in the spirit of ‘back to school’

September is here already, hasn’t the summer flown by?

I’ve loved having the girls at home for the past six weeks, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into work again now they are back to school.

As a freelance copywriter, my business has taken a back seat so I could take care of my girls during the holidays.

I know this is a struggle many parents face, as more of us choose non-traditional working patterns as we try to find that elusive work/life balance.

In the spirit of ‘back to school’, I’ve been kitting out my home office with gorgeous new desk and organisational pretties from online stationery and gift shop Got2Jot.

As a fellow stationery addict, Got2Jot owner Sarah has a real eye for beautiful items and her online shop is a treasure trove.

My start back to work will be greatly helped by a gorgeous academic wall planner. It’ll help me plan my work load around the next school holidays and keep track of who I’m working for, when. I think I need to practice my handwriting so I don’t spoil it!

I’m writing on it in pencil, as in the freelance world, things can, and do change quite often.

There is nothing quite like a fresh, new notebook, is there?

Mine has sections for monthly and yearly goals, to keep me on track. My weekly desk planner will make sure I don’t forget anything important in the short term.

I’ve added some Got2Jot motivational cards to my revamped set up, and I’m ready to get back to work in style!
