Ginger Mum Column: MK Midnight Moo-vement

Local lifestyle blogger Ginger Mum is focusing on fundraising this month for Willen Hospice and MK hospital, as well as fun at Frosts’ indoor beach.

I cannot tell you how much July makes me happy – it’s totally my fave month of the year, not least because it’s my birthday on the fabulous 4th but also because summer is well and truly here.

I love how this time of year opens up a whole plethora of events and as we ditch our coats and don our flip flops, MK once again comes alive with so many must do’s!

Charity is on my mind a lot this month and I can’t wait for Saturday July 14th to take part in the Midnight Moo
walk to raise money for the wonderful Willen Hospice MK – have you signed up yet?

One for the walkers, there’s no excuse not to put your trainers where your toes are!

This event is an essential in the hospice’s fundraising calendar and they NEED our support! The MKFM fam will be there and loads more of us, so come and join in!!!

The other day I was at the launch of the fundraising drive by MK hospital for the new state-of-the-art wing planned to create the best environment possible for cancer patients, featured in the last edition of this mag.

The appeal is live now. Find out how you can do your bit at http://www.mkhcharity.org.uk or call 01908 996220.

Now I want to give you a big heads up for the exciting Milton Keynes International Festival 2018 from 20-29 July.

Festival-goers are in for a feast of stand-up comedy, live music, circus events, outdoor and large-scale events, free and family activities, intriguing pop-ups and ‘happenings’ both in the city centre and local.

Centre MK’s Middleton Hall plays host as one of the IF: 2018 hubs and the other is in Campbell Park. For more info and tickets, go to http://www.ifmiltonkeynes.org And Frosts’ indoor beach is back so any rainy days we get, you know where we are heading!

We spent a lovely afternoon there sheltering happily from the thunderstorms, what a godsend to keep the kids entertained!

Well, that’s yer lot, hope I see some of you at Midnight Moo and I’m loving all your messages and chat on social media! See you in August!
