Buckinghamshire based mum and business owner Samantha Poole has earned a place in the final line-up of The Mpower National Business Awards.
The ceremony are prestigious awards celebrating parents throughout the UK who manage the difficult task of juggling business with family life.
Sam is the founder of Mum to Mum Milton Keynes and mother of 2. She runs a Facebook group with 13,500 local members and has developed a website to help parents find local groups, events and local businesses, which can be found at www.mumtomumuk.com.
Sam has been shortlisted for the Community Award after creating an amazing support group for parents in Milton Keynes that has raised over £5,400 for the Henry Allen Trust so far.
She said, “This award is for the lady who is there for a community, going the extra mile for others, paying it forward before they may have even reached their goal. Understanding the strength of the group comes from working together rather than as individuals”.
As well as being shortlisted for this category, Sam is also in with a chance of winning the title of Mpower Woman Of The Year 2018, which will be awarded to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business, and could walk away with a fantastic prize.
On the 22nd of June, Sam has also been nominated for a local Inspiration award in the ‘Inspirational Mother’ category.
Having reached the finals of The Mpower National Business Awards, Sam said, “I am thrilled to have reached the finals of two amazing awards in one weekend and look forward to what the future holds for my startup business”.
“There are a lot of awards out there, and we are proud about what makes these awards, and the women who enter, different!” said Nicola Huelin, multi-award winning business coach, founder of the Mpower awards, and mum to four children with her partner Graham.
“Often invisible to most, mums in business are changing the business landscape, while raising and inspiring the generations of the future.
“We believe their efforts and successes in overcoming the unique challenges of combining business and motherhood, particularly in those first few years when it’s the hardest, need to be recognised and celebrated.”
Judging Sam’s entry will be a panel of top parent entrepreneurs. The full ceremony will be held on 23rd June, and will see the winners announced at The Mpower Gala, which is to be held at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury in London.
The Mpower Gala has been called The Networking Party Of The Year and is open to all entrepreneurs and business owners for an evening of networking, inspiration and celebration.
Tickets can be purchased through the Mpower website, where you’ll find a range of resources and information for mums in business at www.mpowerawards.com
