Enjoy a wood-fired pizza evening and much more locally in June
June is a great month for local food events, kicking off with the Eat Street MK streetfood event at York House in Stony Stratford on 1st June, writes Hazel Roberts.
There will also be plenty of hot food on sale at the Big Lunch event in Stony Stratford on 3rd June at Wolverton Road Recreation Ground.
On 10th June the Sunday Streetfood Session will be in the MK Pavilion Middleton from 12-4pm and, on 15th June, Newport Pagnell Streetfood Friday returns to Market Hill from 5pm.
Also on 15th June you can relax with a wood-fired pizza and a glass of something at Wharf Distillery for their Pizza Evening from 5-8.30pm, courtesy of Stu’s Oven.
There are a host of big foodie events just outside of MK too in June. 3rd June is Leighton Buzzard’s Food Festival, 9-10th June is Towcester Food Festival, 16th June is Taste Bedford, and 16-17th June is Feast at Waddesdon Manor.
If you are looking for food courses this month then check out the Claire Clark Academy in Bletchley for a variety of one day and evening classes on things such as afternoon tea, chocolate truffles, French patisseries and ice-cream.
Coldsmoking Cookery School has courses on meat curing, sausage making and food fermentation, while Sugarstarz will be holding cupcake decorating courses at The Old Bathhouse in Wolverton.
