Tyre Talk column: Create your own crocotyre!

Ray Pantling, owner of Tyres Direct, offers some new tips on how old car tyres can be used around your home and garden.

I’ve had such an amazing response to last month’s column about how old car tyres can be used to brighten up your garden that I want to share with you some more upcycling ideas!

Old car tyres are becoming fashionable to use for all sorts of weird and wonderful purposes around the home and garden, including garden furniture, coffee tables, dog tyrebeds, music speakertyres, tyre bug hotels, pondtyres, flower plantyres and even these incredible crocotyres.

More ideas can be seen on our Tyres Direct Instagram page @tyresdirectmk and on Facebook @TyresDirectBletch.

Have a look because the creativity is really quite amazing.

It’s environmentally friendly too because over 100,000 worn tyres are taken off vehicles every day in Britain, which need to go somewhere. 26% are used as retreaded tyres, 46% are reclaimed for reuse and the remaining 28% are landfilled.

Collect some old tyres from me for free and get creative!
