Have the Tim of your life at the theatre in May

There’s entertainment to suit everyone at the local theatres in May, including Legally Blonde, Macbeth and standup from comedian Tim Vine, writes Cara Lee.

The stage adaptation of the much-loved film Legally Blonde comes to Milton Keynes Theatre from May 28 to June 2.

This energetic and empowering show tells the story of Elle Woods, a fashionable sorority girl who finds out she’s smarter than she thinks when she follows her ex-boyfriend to law school.

The show stars Lucie Jones (whose theatre credits include We Will Rock You and Rent) as Elle, EastEnders’ Rita Simons as Paulette and Emmerdale and Coronation Street’s Bill Ward as Professor Callahan.

Or, if you’re in the mood for something a bit more dramatic, the Mark Bruce Company will be putting on a dance-based adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s greatest works, Macbeth.

This innovative interpretation of the classic tale of murder, betrayal and madness will be brought to Stantonbury Theatre on May 17 and 18.

On a lighter note, the king of puns Tim Vine, best known for television appearances including Not Going Out and Live at the Apollo, will perform at Milton Keynes Theatre on May 12.
