SoCal Fashion Column: These boots were made for walking

Milton Keynes fashionista SoCal Val wants you to be brave with your colourful choices and never apologise for wearing bold boots.

Happy April, fashionistas!

I hope you’re ready for your monthly dose of Hollywood glitz and glam right here in Milton Keynes. In today’s featured look I am pulling out ALL the stops.

While some fashion bloggers may extol the virtues of demure dressing I think you know me well enough by now to expect a bit more drama.

What better time than now to shed your boring winter looks in favour of a more whimsical approach to fashion?

The look I’ve curated here showcases sparkle aplenty and one shocking pop of colour!

I started off simple, believe it or not, with a basic white coat. Then I upped the glam factor with glittering sunglasses, ornate brooches and a structured but heavily ornamented handbag.

Could I have stopped there? Well, sure.

But I have a serious case of fashion FOMO (fear of missing out) and I knew these hot pink boots deserved to join in the fun.

Colours of this hyper neon variety work well when done in one shot. In this case, an over the knee boot.

While I do realise I have a lot of texture and shine going on my accessories, notice that the only standout colour here is confined to one area.

The electric fuchsia shade takes center stage where it belongs.

If what you see here is a little too over the top for you, choose just one similar acessory that suits you.

While I may feel 100% comfortable in a loud ensemble like this, to others they may need to turn the volume down a bit.

When it comes to personal style it’s really about finding your comfort zone.

But whatever it is you choose to wear I implore you to do so with confidence. Be BOLD in your choices and never EVER apologise for rocking a piece that makes you happy.

If someone doesn’t like it? Too bad.

These boots were made for walking, anyway.

So if you’ll excuse me I’ll be on my way… Until next time, fashionistas.
