3 Beats To Get Your Bank Holiday Bouncing

The only thing that can top payday weekend? A Bank Holiday weekend! Yes, it’s miserable outside. So what? This is Britain, people. Bank Holidays and rain go together like Saturday Kitchen and a raging hangover. Embrace it!

This month, I’ve explored the depths of Beatport to find 3 key tracks that are worth spending your hard-earned pennies on. So crank up the heating, grab a tin of ready-made piña colada (M&S do a decent one) and dip your feet into your toddler’s paddling pool. Practically Ibiza, right?

1) We Get High From The Music – Mark Knight Feat. Mr V

Fresh off his All Knight Long tour, internationally renowned DJ Mark Knight is back with a bang(er). The Tech House master has teamed up with American producer Mr V to create this fist-pumping dance anthem that’s sure to impress shufflers everywhere. Packed with classic hi-hats and a whomping bassline, this fresh release is sure to be a big hit in the clubs. I’ve already got this one on repeat.

2) Up To You – Babert

Disco fans, dig out your favourite crisp white suits. This latest up-tempo groove from Italian producer Mirco Berti (AKA Babert) is enough to get you boogie-ing on down this weekend. Currently at number 7 in Beatport’s top 10 ‘Funk / Soul / Disco’ chart, it’s already proving to be hugely popular. With funky guitar plucking that would make Prince and Nile Rodgers proud, this feel good track will blast some much needed soul into any house party playlist.

GENRE: Funk / Disco

LABEL: Disco Revenge

3) Take It Up – Wilkinson & Sub Focus

If you’ve never experienced a live Drum and Bass set, add that to your bucket list. I was lucky enough to catch Wilkinson at Wireless Festival a couple of years back and the atmosphere inside the tent was electric, like no other gig I had ever seen before. On this latest tune, Wilkinson joins forces with fellow DnB giant Sub Focus to craft an almighty stomper of a track that’s sure to get hearts thumping and crowds jumping. It’s a high energy track full of fast drum beats and robotic, warped synths. Everything we love to hear at a rave.

GENRE: Drum and Bass
