Ex-BBC entertainment writer Sarah Bygrave has picked out the best local events for you to attend in April, from roller derby to reggae.
Spring is in full swing and what better way to celebrate waving goodbye to unexpected snowfall and the winter blues than with some awesome events!
Here are my picks of the best for April.
Embrace your inner Yoga guru and have a go at a Hot Yoga Masterclass at Sweat Studios in Milton Keynes. The 2.5 hour session will include a variety of the hundreds of different yoga positions and will give you a full body workout like never before!
Although this is open to everybody, a willingness to take part and a basic knowledge of yoga is advised. Get booked in for April 15th at sweatstudios.co.uk.
If you love watching sport and fancy something different, why not check out the Roller Derby British Championships at Bletchley Leisure Centre on April 15th.
MK will host the thrilling matches for Round 4 including MK vs Plymouth and Oxford vs Eastbourne.
Find the event on Facebook for ticket information.
Don’t forget to support our very own MKRD’s Concrete Cows. Good luck!
Feast your eyes on the Circus of Horrors as they celebrate their 21st anniversary by performing their show ‘The Never-Ending Nightmare’ at Milton Keynes Theatre on April 22nd.
The ‘Alice in Horrorland’ story features brave, beautiful and baffling acts accompanied by a mesmerising soundscape.
Don’t miss out on the chance to run away with the circus and be transported on a terrifying and highly entertaining ride! Tickets are available from atgtickets.com.
Finally, how about waving goodbye to the first quarter of 2018 with a night of rum and reggae at MK11’s Sunshine Sessions.
With free entry, a wide selection of different rums on offer and a soundtrack including Ska, Dancehall and Rocksteady, what better way to spend your Saturday night.
Head down from 8pm on the 28th to join in and I’ll see you there!
