£25,000 available for budding entrepreneurs with University of Buckingham

The University of Buckingham is searching Milton Keynes to find budding entrepreneurs who dream of studying for a degree in which they will set-up and run their own business.

The Business Enterprise programme at The University of Buckingham is the world’s first undergraduate Venture Creation Programme where students not only study, but also develop an idea for a business, prepare a business plan and pitch for up to £5,000 investment – just like in Dragons’ Den.

The £25,000 Scholarship, available to British and Irish nationals, is provided by entrepreneur Brian Kingham.

He said: “My many years’ involvement with the University convinces me that Buckingham has the most favourable ethos for enterprising and ambitious young people. I am delighted to be helping in the development of the next generation of entrepreneurs.”

Anyone interested in applying for this opportunity will need to have an entrepreneurial mind-set, a sound business idea and a plan of around 20 pages.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to pitch their idea and, if successful, you could be awarded the scholarship and start studying in January.

To be in with a chance of winning, email bethany.janes@buckingham.ac.uk with your idea and business plan by 1 December, 2017. Visit http://www.buckingham.ac.uk/admissions/scholarships/kingham for more information.
