McDonald’s has teamed up with Thames Valley Police to offer people the chance to talk to their local police officers during a new monthly drop-in session.
The Coffee with a Copper initiative, organised by Kaizen Restaurants, is aimed at encouraging the community to interact with police and to raise any queries or concerns they may have locally.
The drop-in sessions take place on the last Friday of every month at the Midsummer Arcade branch of McDonald’s in CMK, owned by local franchisee Ken Tomkins.
MK City Centre Sergeant Keith Lavery (pictured above) said: “These events are a great chance for the community to come and see their local policing team to discuss any issues they feel we should know about or could help with.
“It also gives people the opportunity to speak with us in a friendly, informal and neutral environment. No appointment is necessary – just turn up and have your say!”
The next opportunity to have a Coffee with a Copper is on Friday September 29 from 3pm to 5pm at McDonald’s at Midsummer Arcade, CMK.
