Life’s a beach with Wiki Places For Kids

Looking for somewhere local to take your children for sun, sand and splashing? MK mum and entrepreneur Susie Lodge offers four hot recommendations from her popular website http://www.wikiplacesforkids.com.

Located in the heart of our beautiful country, we can tend to feel a little remote from seaside fun in Milton Keynes.

But in all fairness, who needs Cali-For–Ni-A this summer when we have everything we need on our doorstep for the most amazing July staycation!

This month I have a selection of fabulous local suggestions that offer just as much sun, sand and splashing as any seaside resort – without the two-hour drive to the coast.

Frosts – Wild West

One of our perennial favourites, Frosts has once again nailed the summer activities offering with their incredible Wild West (pictured above).

A carousel, massive sandpit full of toys, staff ready and waiting to provide full on entertainment, and plenty of seats for parents to sit and enjoy a coffee while the kids have undercover sand castle fun!

What’s not to love?

Splash Parks – Leighton Buzzard and Willen Lake

Ahhh…. let me at these! Is it acceptable for parents to want to go as much as the kids?

Plumes, fountains, puddles – this is water play at its best and all set in the beautiful scenes of Willen Lake and Leighton Buzzard Park.

Take a picnic for a perfect summer’s day!

Lidos – Eversholt and Woburn

You can’t beat a good old fashioned outdoor swimming pool to get you into the spirit of summer.

The lidos in MK are great for enjoying the best of our balmy days, for creating that holiday pool vibe, and are usually amazing value.

Grab your factor 50 and your inflatables and jump straight in!

Gulliver’s Splash Zone

Come rain or shine, this place is an indoor palace of slides, spouts, waterfalls and splashy puddles.

With something suited for all ages, you can take the whole family for a few hours of craziness!

I personally think term time is best for tiny ones. Cozzies on… off you go!
