Ginger Mum column: I’m going Insania over Peter Andre

Top lifestyle blogger (and birthday girl) Ginger Mum uses her second monthly Celebrate:MK column to talk Peter Andre, Bus Shelter MK, Campbell Park, Willen Lake, splashparks and Pink Punters.

Hi guys and welcome back to my column! It’s been a busy month here in MK and how exciting to hear that none other than Mr Peter Andre is coming to the city to perform a full live show at Planet Ice on Saturday October 21!

I’m so excited to see this guy crooning his tunes on our doorstep and I will be there with bells on, with my Andre-obsessed friend Kirsty.

And so could you if you enter my amazing competition to win a pair of VIP tickets, which will be in a special ‘money can’t buy’ section with a private bar on a balcony overlooking the arena.

Head over to my blog to enter!

Some really admirable stuff is going on in MK with the showcasing of The Bus Shelter MK – the initiative where Rod Stewart & Robbie Williams’ old tour bus is being converted into a 365 day mobile home for 16 of the area’s most needy people.

But there’s still money to be raised and facilities to be updated – check out their Facebook page The Bus Shelter MK for how to get involved!

School is almost out for summer. How do you fill those long hot weeks when you are juggling the house, work and childcare, you’ve too much Play-Doh stuck on your flip flops and kids maxed out on their iPads?

Well, in this area we are spoilt for choice. From simple picnic days in Campbell Park, to cooling down at splashparks, the holidays needn’t break the bank.

Some fab places within a driveable distance will only cost you to park your car.

If you don’t have one, rope in a mummy friend!

Stanwick Lakes is a must-do if you can get there – one of the best back-to-nature days around – and our very own Willen Lake has just had a refurb so make sure you check that out.

July is the month of birthdays in my house (including mine!) and when it comes to partying, I will be dancing the night away at Pink Punters.

Where else in MK can you find karaoke, seventies music and house/garage all under one multi-faceted rainbow coloured roof?

So enjoy July my lovelies, see you in August!
