The much-loved MK Handmade & Vintage Extravaganza returns to the centre:mk this weekend – with a new friendly face at the helm.
Saturday June 10 and Sunday June 11 will see Middleton Hall transformed into a huge treasure trove of 128 indoor market stalls in front of John Lewis.
It’s a paradise for lovers of the unique and unusual, crammed with an eclectic mix of thousands of high quality handcrafted and vintage/retro bargains.
Every item is a one-off and no retail items are permitted, making it the perfect alternative to high street shopping.
And Jen Reeves-North (pictured below) has stepped up from regular stallholder to organiser, replacing the extravaganza’s founder Jacqui Lewis.
“I was delighted and flattered when Jacqui approached me in respect of taking over the running of this amazing event,” said Jen.
“I knew that she’d be a hard act to follow as she did an incredible job of building MK Handmade and Vintage from scratch into the amazing show it is today, but I’d like to think that I’ll be able to do it justice!
“Having had a stall selling at the extravaganza for the past five years, I know that the atmosphere, the exhibitors and the items on offer are absolutely second to none. We continue with the ethos that only the absolute best craftspeople, artisans and dealers are offered a spot.
“This makes for an excellent show with incredible variety – there is truly something for everyone!”
The stalls will range from street art and prints, to award-winning cakes and treats, vintage, collectibles and antiques, furniture and homewares, handmade clothing plus accessories for grown ups, kids and even pets.
Jen added: “I suspect I may end up doing rather a lot of shopping myself!”
After the June weekend, the next two 2017 events will be held on September 9-10 and November 4-5. Visit http://www.mk-handmade-and-vintage.co.uk for more information.
