Editorial column, by Jon Boyle.
April is one of my favourite months of the year, so it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to this latest edition of Celebrate:MK lifestyle magazine.
The spring sunshine and warmer weather is nice, but it is my birthday and Easter eggs that I love most about April.
I’m a bit of a chocoholic so the return of Cadbury Mini Eggs and Creme Eggs fills me with glee.
But I need to keep my cravings under control this month as I’m trying to lose weight for my wedding this summer.
With this in mind, our new healthy eating Riverford Recipes food column (page 7) is perfectly timed. I need to swap the chocolate eggs for organic veg this Easter!
Another highlight of this month’s magazine is Vicki McCarthy’s review of a gig by legendary West Country rockers The Wurzels (page 24).
Initially I was horrified to read that 78-year-old Tommy stripped down to his pants on stage, but it seems his antics were well-received by the MK crowd!
You can also read my review of Spice Village Indian restaurant on page 20, and my interview with our April covergirl Holly Brewer on page 22.
Remember you can always grab a glossy copy of Celebrate:MK from Waitrose at Oakgrove – we refill our popular pick-up point at the entrance to the store nearly every day.
