Hot Property column: Laura Garnett, Branch Manager of Connells estate agents in Oxley Park, has seen her team sell lots of houses as the weather warms up. She advises sellers to sell up now.
I would advise you to get your property on the market now if you’re serious about selling.
The spring period is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year for searching for property.
As people shake off the cobwebs of winter and the weather gets warmer, potential buyers will be out in force looking for a new home.
Not only are properties a lot more aesthetically pleasing in the better weather, but increased appetite to move during the spring period means sellers will have more prospective buyers competing to buy their home, making it more likely you will achieve the best price.
Connells traditionally experiences a spike in buyer interest during the spring period and, since 2014, has recorded on average 19% more people registering their interest in a new home each March compared to the previous month.
It seems that many feel inspired by the warmer weather and longer days to start making plans for the future, including looking for a new home.
We’re advising home owners to get their property on the market now for a quick sale!
