Editorial column, by Jon Boyle.
The weather is not the only thing warming up this month, as we have a red-hot issue of Celebrate:MK lifestyle magazine to take you into spring.
Our editorial team have been getting all hot and sweaty to bring you some entertaining participatory features on activities and businesses you can try.
I went along to Firezza in Shenley Church End to have a go at making ‘proper pizza’ at MK’s hottest new takeaway (page 20).
Roving reviewer Alicia Babaee was put through her paces at Whitespace Yoga & Wellbeing Studio in Stony Stratford for her ‘Alicia Approved’ column (page 8).
And Jessica Duncan takes a warm look back at her day spent working at McDonald’s in Westcroft (page 25).
We also have an article about how local estate agency Thomas Connolly has turned Milton Keynes into a holiday destination (page 10), and a brilliant new home improvement column from blogger Becky Pink (page 30).
There are features on 10-year-old West End starlet Jasmine Sakyiama (p14) and GP2 driver Alex Albon (p12), who both live in our beloved city, plus much more.
You can now pick up a copy of Celebrate:MK each month from Waitrose at Oakgrove, thanks to our new advertising agreement with the branch.
But I’d like to end by saying thanks to our two trusty proof readers, Louise Yearwood and Sue Boyle (my mum), who are unsung heroes. So now you know who they are, you know who to blame if you spot a mistake!
This article was first published in the March issue of Celebrate:MK lifestyle magazine, which is exclusively the only local magazine available for pick-up in the Milton Keynes branch of Waitrose, at Oakgrove. You can also pick up a copy from David Lloyd Club in Newlands or from University Campus Milton Keynes. The glossy magazine is being delivered to homes in Stony Stratford and Wolverton this month.
