‘We want to show our loyalty to the local MK businesses who keep our city ticking’

Editorial column, by Jon Boyle.

I hope you enjoy reading our February edition of Celebrate:MK, which we’re calling our Love Local Business issue.

It makes sense with Valentine’s Day fast-approaching as we want to show our loyalty to the ones we love – local MK businesses who keep our city ticking.

As such, we have given the front page limelight to a new local business that has set our pulses racing.

And we’ve launched some tantalising cut-price advertising offers (pages 38 and 39), helping MK’s small businesses to obtain the exposure they deserve.

This includes classified ads from just £30 and straps across the bottom of pages for £60.

Sticking with the Valentine’s Day theme, our January cover girl SoCal Val has written a brilliant article offering tips on how to dress on the big night, after joining our team as a fashion columnist.

We’re delighted to have Val on board, as well as our new theatre columnist Nancy Stevens and movie reviewer Jason Day.

We’ll be targeting a different delivery area in MK each month for our 10,000 printed magazines, so please make sure you subscribe to our free digital edition to receive Celebrate:MK every month.

There is, however, one place you will be able to pick up a physical copy of the magazine every month – David Lloyd Club in Newlands.

Celebrate:MK will be regularly stocked in the cafe as part of the club’s new advertising agreement with us.
